Grain Store operations during COVID-19

Whilst you are all aware of the current global situation and are living through this time of uncertainty due to COVID-19, we feel it is time to update you from our internal perspective.

As we have done in many ways since opening our doors almost 7 years ago we have strived to be ahead of the curve and become industry leaders. We felt it is important in these uncertain times we got on the front foot & became proactive in some measures we can implement to ensure the Grain Store remains open and more importantly are taking a number of steps to protect the health of you our customer & our amazing staff.

The Grain Store team is actively following advice from the NSW Department of Health and the WHO with respect to public gatherings and will always make the safety of our customers and team our top priority. To this point, any scheduled events we have locked in will proceed to go ahead.
At this point in time, the NSW Department of Health is advising that the risk to the general public is low and that people should go about their daily lives, as usual, however, the recommendation is that people unwell with cough, fever or other respiratory symptoms (particularly if they have recently returned from overseas) should stay home.

What we are doing:

We have implemented rigorous enhanced cleaning and sanitising in the venue and added additional positive hygiene practices with a hand wash station now available at our entry to all who visit, we do ask that you do use this upon entering.
We kindly suggest our preferred method of payment used is contactless cards or smart device payments over cash when possible.

Our staff will conduct a full table clean and disinfection procedure in between guests occupying each table. We appreciate your patience in waiting to occupy tables while staff conducts this procedure, particularly during busy periods. High touch areas such as door handles & chair tops will also be regularly sanitised for your safety.

Additionally, we have removed our caddy’s with condiments & salt + pepper shakers from each table and replaced them with single-use sachets & one countertop location for condiments.
Our overnight cleaning staff are also implementing an enhanced disinfection protocol.

Please join us in taking extra steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19: wash your hands regularly for a minimum of 20 seconds and please stay home if you feel unwell for the safety of other patrons.

Rest assured that we will continue to monitor the advice from authorities and will adjust our protocols as necessary.
